[glow=green,2,300]The truth of the demon. [/glow] Attack! War was starting in the mid west feudal Japan era. Jonin was battling along side his Father Tanshi. Jonin was wielding his sword and magical shield. He sliced one of the warriors attacking. “Father, more and more are coming, how are we going to fight them all?” Jonin asked. Tanshi sliced down a warrior and looked at his son. “Run to the forest, it’s the sacred forest of the demons; they won’t dare to go there.” He said shooing his son. Jonin nodded and ran to the forest. He heard a voice. He grabbed his sword from its sheath. “Who’s there?” Jonin called out. A young woman walked out. “Well Jonin, killing humans now huh?” she said taunting him. Jonin let out a small laugh. “Yes. And what of it to you?” The woman smiled. “Jonin, you have killed many people, you’ve killed many parents to the young kids in our village. You killed my father. Now you will be pinned to that tree over there until someone with the mystical powers of shinja release you!” She said waving her staff. Jonin floated in mid air and was pinned to the tree behind him with a piece of the woman’s staff. His vision got blurry and then soon blacked out. “Father, where are you?!” a woman’s voice called out. A man turned around facing her. “Kalena, about time you’ve showed up, your father is in the shrine.” The man said. “Thanks.” She said walking into the shrine. “Father, I’m leaving! I told my friends I’d help them with research remember?” She said. A man turned to look at her. “Alright you be careful Kalena.” He said. Kalena walked out of the shrine and walked to her friend’s house. “Hey!” one of her friends, Yuka said. Kalena smiled and Yuka guided her to the backyard. Yuka and her twin sister Yia opened up a passage down below their house. They guided Kalena down there and they each grabbed a weapon. Yuka grabbing a sword, Yia grabbing a staff, and Kalena grabbing a bow and a sling of arrows. They walked down the hallway and saw a hole in the ground. They all looked at each other and nodded. “We ready?” Yuka asked. Kalena and Yia nodded. They jumped into the hole and everything around them turned into several different colors. They then climbed out of the hole by the ladder leaning against the wall. They looked around. “It worked!” Yia said excitedly. “I can’t believe we are in Feudal Japan!” Kalena said. They walked farther and farther. Kalena looked at a tree. “Hey, I think someone is stuck in that tree!” Kalena said walking over to the tree. She looked and saw a demon pinned to the tree. She looked at the piece of a crystal stuck in him. She pulled it out fairly easily and the demon awoke. He looked at Kalena. “You, why are you here?” He asked. Kalena looked around. “Uh, me and my friends got here threw a hole…” She said. The demon laughed. “Hah, you look only about fourteen years old! How would you be able to figure out how to go to a different era?” He hacked. Kalena gave him a stern look. “I’m fifteen, and it wasn’t that hard. We jumped threw this hole and bam. We were here.” She said. Jonin gave her a look. “What are you here for?” he asked getting down from the tree. Kalena sighed. “Well, we think that there is something hidden here that could change the future from being as destructive as we know it. We tried to come here to find it.” She said looking in the sky. Jonin saw Yuka and Yia walk up. “Who are they?” he asked. Kalena smiled in relive to see her friends. “Those are my friends Yuka and Yia.” She said. Yuka and Yia waved. Jonin gave them a look but trusted what Kalena said. “So what is your name?” Kalena asked Jonin. “Oh, the name is Jonin. And yours?” He asked. Kalena smiled “My name is Kalena. Jonin, why were you pinned to that tree?” Kalena asked as they all walked around the forest. “It was about 300 years ago. Me and my father were under attack by humans, they slaughtered our entire village except us. They assumed that we meant trouble. We were understanding demons. If you left us alone, we left you alone.” He began. “But they didn’t understand, they came and attacked. My father told me to go hide in the forest, as us two against a whole army of them would never survive. When I got into the forest, a woman named Natina showed up. She thought I killed her father as well as the parents of the kids in her village. We killed them because they killed our families. She waved her staff and a piece of it pinned me to that tree.” He finally finished. Kalena and Yia nodded. “So you are over 200 years old?! How?!” Yuka asked. Jonin smiled. “I’m a demon. Demon’s have a long life span.” He said. He stopped them from walking any farther. “What are you stopin-“Kalena began. Jonin stopped her from saying any more. A cloud of dust came up and a woman appeared. “Unpinned from the sacred tree are we? Who did so?” She asked. Jonin gave her a look. “This girl, Kalena helped me.” He said with a smirk. “Is that Natina?” Kalena whispered. Jonin nodded. Natina gave Kalena a stern look and then Jonin. “Do they know what you did?” She asked. Kalena looked at Jonin then Natina. “He did tell us.” Kalena said. Natina cackled. “And you want to travel with him?” she said placing her hand on her hip. Yuka stood forward and nodded. “What of it?” She said sort of nervous. Natina gave Yuka a cold look. “Do what you wish, but let me tell you, he will turn his back on you.” She said and with that she left. Kalena looked at Jonin. “She seems mean.” Kalena said. Jonin nodded. “You’ll get used to it.” He said. They continued walking and encountered a river, the sun was setting. “We should make camp here. It’s not safe to travel during the night.” Jonin said. Yia grabbed some of the supplies out of the backpack she had with her. They made a fire and laid out some small pillows they had brought. Yuka and Yia were fishing in the river as Kalena and Jonin talked. “Kalena, do you miss your era?” He asked. Kalena smiled. “A little, though it’s really cool here.” She said. Jonin nodded. “Yes it can be very ‘cool’. But, it’s also dangerous out here.” He said. Kalena nodded. Yuka and Yia came back with loads of fish. They cooked it over the fire and talked threw out the night looking at the stars. As they went to bed, Kalena was laying down thinking of her Father. She heard something that was coming from the forest. She grabbed her bow and her sling of arrows. She held an arrow in the bow and was ready to shoot. “Hello?” Kalena said nervously. She heard something and swung around. “Who-who’s there?” Kalena said. A demon came out down from the tree above her. “Oh brother, I am a demon. My name is Yashina. I am not going to hurt you I am just here to see if you have seen a Jonin.” She said as if she had said it a million times and was growing bored of it. Kalena lowered her bow and put her arrow back in the sling. “Um yeah I have.” She said. Yashina smiled. “Could you take me to him? I’m sure he’d like to see me.” She said. Kalena guided her to the camp. “Jonin wake up someone is here to see you.” Kalena said. Jonin woke up. He looked at Yashina. “Yashina, how are you here?” He asked. Yashina smiled. “Mother’s locket, when they stabbed me in the chest, they really stabbed the locket, not harming me.” She said. Jonin smiled. “Kalena, Yashina is my sister. I thought she died in the war 200 years ago.” He said. Kalena smiled. Yuka and Yia woke up and saw Yashina. Jonin introduced them to her. The sun was now rising. They walked past the river and down a path. They looked up into the mountains. “Help! Demon!” They heard distressed people yell. They ran to the village in the mountains to help. Natina was there attacking the village. “What ever happened to leaving innocent people alone?” Yashina said taunting Natina away from killing several kids. Natina walked over to Yashina. “I’m only doing this to look for something I need, the sacred necklace of three spirits.” Natina said. Yia thought for a second. “Me, Yuka and Kalena read about that in school. It’s a mystical necklace that can give you all the power in the world. Many demons search for it.” Yia said. Natina looked at Yia. “Well if you know so much about it, then maybe you know where it is?” Natina said. Yia gave her a stern look. “No. And even if I did I wouldn’t even dare tell the likes of you!” Yia said. Yashina covered her forehead with her hand. “Ah crud…” She whispered. Natina clenched her staff. “You dare decline me!” She said. Jonin drew his sword and Yashina did the same. Yia and Yuka held their weapons tight. Natina looked at Jonin. “You fool; you’ll never ever defeat me!” And with that, she developed a cloud of dust and disappeared. Jonin and Yashina put their swords away. Kalena walked up to the kids who almost died from Natina. “Are you kids alright?” She asked. The kids nodded their heads. Kalena put bandages on the kids’ wounds. There were three kids there. One of them spoke up. “My name is Gretta.” A young girl said. Kalena smiled. “I’m Kalena, Nice to meet you Gretta. And what are your names?” She asked looking at the other two. A young boy spoke. “My name is Sien.” The boy said. And the last little girl spoke. “My name is Sen.” She said. Kalena smiled and started a fire in the small fireplace in one of the houses. Sien and Sen fell asleep on Kalena’s lap. Gretta was still awake. “Sen and Sien, they’re my little sister and brother. Our parents passed away not long ago and I have been taking care of all of us.” Gretta said gazing into the fire. The group nodded. They all fell asleep shortly. “Those brats, they ruined my plan to destroy that village. Those kids are lucky to be alive!” Natina said as she stormed into her castle. The guards bowed. Natina rolled her eyes as she walked farther into the castle. Meanwhile, Jonin and Kalena were talking. “So is that sacred necklace thing what you’re looking for?” Jonin asked. Kalena nodded. “If it can grant power to a demon, it should be able to help us save the future right?” Kalena replied. Jonin wasn’t sure. “Maybe, you never know.” He said. Sien woke up breathing heavily. Kalena looked at Sien. “Sien are you okay?” she asked. He nodded and gave her a hug. Jonin stood up. He sensed that Natina was coming. “Kalena, Natina is coming. Get your bow and arrows.” He said. Kalena did so and Jonin grabbed his sword. Natina showed up with Gretta in her arms. “Oh come now. You wouldn’t dare hurt a little girl would you?” Natina said taunting them. Sien saw Gretta in Natina’s arms. “Let go of my sister!” he called out. Natina cackled. “And why should I do that? So you can win? I think not!” She said. Kalena saw Natina rise up into the sky. “But if you wish for me to let her go, so be it.” She said as she dropped Gretta. Natina laughed. Kalena darted towards Gretta and caught her. She was unconscious. “Yuka, Yia, come get Gretta and lay her down in the house!” Kalena called out. Yuka and Yia came over and took Gretta from Kalena and took her inside the house. Natina disappeared and Jonin and Kalena were nervous about thinking what Natina may do next. They all got their stuff and they started traveling again. “Hey don’t worry; I’m sure we can defeat Natina.” Jonin said trying to comfort Kalena. “Thanks Jonin. Jonin, do you know if my friends and I can go back to our time for a little? Were running out of supplies.” Kalena asked. Jonin nodded. “Go threw the way you came in, we’ll stay by there waiting for you.” Jonin said. Kalena smiled. “You’re the greatest Jonin!” She said having Yuka and Yia follow her to the hole they came threw. When they got to there time they ran to their houses to get more supplies. “Dad I am home!” Kalena called out. Kalena’s father replied. “Hi honey! Where were you?” He asked. Kalena smiled. “I was in a different Era. I need to go back soon. I just wanted to get some more supplies.” She said. Her father walked up to her and frowned. “Ah I see. Well you better be careful.” He said giving her a smile. Kalena smiled and stuffed items into her backpack. She ran upstairs. “Where is it....” She said scuttling threw her items. “Ah! Here it is.” She said putting a locket on. “Mom’s locket.” She said. She opened the locket and saw a picture of her and her mother dancing. She spent the night at her house and then in the morning her Yuka and Yia went back to the feudal era. When they arrived Jonin, Sien, Sen and Gretta were there to greet them. Sien ran up to Kalena and gave her a hug. “Hi!!” Sien said. “Hey Sien!” Kalena said. Jonin smiled. They continued walking deeper into the forest. They all talked about different things. Jonin and Kalena talked about Natina. “Jonin how do you know Natina?” Kalena asked. Jonin shrugged. “Well, we knew each other as kids. She always talked about ruling the whole land someday but I thought it was all a joke. But look. She’s now trying and so far succeeding.” He said. Kalena nodded. “Well, I’m sure we’ll stop her.” She said reassuring him. As they walked farther they encountered a village. There was something going on. They walked closer and saw a little girl being picked on by several older boys. Kalena saw them pushing her and calling her names. Kalena walked over to them. “Hey what’s going on?” The boys looked at her and one spoke up. “None of you’re beeswax lady!” The boy said. Kalena gave him a glare and kneeled down on her knee and talked to the little girl. “Hi. I am Kalena, what’s your name?” she asked smiling. Jonin was standing by a tree watching Kalena talking to the kids. “My name is Dante.” The girl said. Kalena stood up. “Looks like you boys were picking on Dante.” She said, hands on her hips. The boys looked at each other and then ran the opposite direction. Dante looked at Kalena and smiled revealing her semi-toothless smile. “Thank you!” she said. Kalena smiled. “Anytime, oh my name is Kalena by the way.” She said. Dante shook her hand. “Great, but who’s that?” She said pointing to Jonin. Kalena turned around. “Oh! That’s Jonin.” Kalena said. “He looks like a demon!” Dante said. Kalena nodded. “He is, but he’s a good demon.” She said reassuring Dante. Dante nodded. Kalena introduced Jonin to Dante. “Nice to meet you Dante!” Jonin said shaking her hand. Dante smiled. “Nice to meet you too!” Jonin looked in the sky. He heard Natina coming. He drew his sword and informed Kalena, Yuka and Yia that Natina was coming. Yia took the kids into a small hut to be safe in during the battle. Yuka drew her sword and Kalena had an arrow ready in her bow. Yia ran over and had her staff at hand. Natina swished down to the ground from the sky. “Oh great, you four are here.” She said rolling her eyes. Jonin looked into the sky again, the sun was setting and the moon was rising. It was the night of the new moon, the night where Natina becomes powerless. “Natina, don’t you realize what tonight is?” Jonin asked. Natina laughed. “I am not an idiot. I know it’s the night of the new moon. But once I finish this spell, it won’t ever be the night of the new moon again.” She said waving her silver staff in the air. Yia was brainstorming as Natina talked about he spell. She then figured out what spell she was talking about. “The Ima Mama.” Yia said. Everyone looked at her. “The Ima Mama is a spell that makes the time stays at the time its cast. Though if its cast tonight, it will forever be a new moon.” Yia said in her soft voice. They nodded and then looked at Natina. “Well aren’t you a smarty! Yes that is the spell. As soon as I get the crystal of Benjola, I can cast it just as the sun begins to rise tomorrow. And you won’t even dare try to stop me. Gretta was walking around the hut they were in. “Why can’t they let us help?” Gretta said angry. Sien was asleep next to his sister. Dante was listening to Gretta. “Gretta, they need us to stay here! We could get killed out there for all we know.” Dante said, worried by what she said. Gretta looked at Dante. “You’re right. We should try and relax.” She said. Dante nodded. She was worried about her new made friends. “Natina how are you so sure we aren’t going to stop you?” Yuka said gripping her sword. Natina laughed. “Because, if you do even try, the village will be destroyed. See, I have the whole village under the control of this staff. One wrong move and I can destroy it.” She said proudly. Yia was brainstorming yet again. She was thinking of possibly making a barrier around the village so they can attack Natina, but she was unsure if she could make a barrier that big. She looked at her staff and then around the village. She leaned over slowly and whispered to Kalena. “I am going to get the villagers in one hut, I have an idea.” And with that she ran to the other villagers and got them into one hut, including Sen, Sien, Gretta, And Dante. Yia waved her staff around the hut and created a barrier around the hut. Yia ran back and gave Jonin, Yuka, and Kalena a nod as if she had succeeded in her idea. Jonin gave Natina a smirk. “And what are you so happy about?” Natina hacked. Jonin swung his sword at Natina. Natina waved her staff to destroy the village. The magic she cast bounced off the barrier. “What? That’s impossible!” She said angered. Yia smiled. “I produced a barrier around the hut I had those villagers went into. There fore they can’t be hurt.” She said proud of what she had done. Natina gave Yia a glare. The sun had now fully set and Natina’s powers had disappeared for the night. She ran deep into the forest looking for somewhere to hide. The group thanked Yia for her idea. “No problem, but we better make sure the villagers are okay.” Yia said darting towards the hut they were in. Dante, Sen, Sien and Gretta were all asleep. Some of the villagers were awake, making sure the fire would stay threw out the night, and other’s gazing into mid air or sleeping. The group walked in and assured them they were now safe. The villagers thanked them with most gratitude. The group stayed there for the night. Natina was in the forest, holding her arm where Jonin had swung at her. “Blast that demon!” she said looking at her hand seeing blood from her arm. She sat down on the ground and leaned on a tree. She gazed into the stars that were hiding behind the trees. Wondering if this was the path she wanted to walk, nay lead. She dozed off into a slumber there in the middle of the forest.

The next morning, Kalena awoke. She looked outside the hut and saw villagers awake, wandering around the village. Kids were running around playing. Dante, Sen, Sien and Gretta were already awake, running around with other kids. Yuka, Yia and Jonin were still slumbering. Kalena walked around. A villager came up to Kalena. “Thank you again kind lady for saving us.” He said smiling. Kalena returned the smile. She wandered into the forest, she saw Natina leaning against a tree. Natina rose up. Kalena drew out an arrow and set it in the bow. “Natina, what are you doing here?” she said willing to shoot. Natina shook her head. “I’m not going to do anything, at ease.” She said waving her hand. Kalena lowered her weapon slowly. “Don’t make me ask you again Natina…” Kalena warned. Natina looked at Kalena. “I haven’t gotten my powers back because of that sword of Jonin’s. It’s cursed and it has made my powers gone for who knows how long!” She said pitifully. “Natina, I am surprised in you. I thought a true fighter didn’t need powers to rule?” Kalena said. Natina laughed. “I don’t need a lecture from a fifteen year old!” She said whistling to the soft sounds of the wind, causing a demon bird come and swish down to pick Natina up. The bird flew off without a second to waste. Kalena walked back to the village to see the others had awakened. She saw a destroyed village. She walked further in, praying the kids were safe. She saw a pile of villagers and kids. She saw Gretta by the pile, wounded. Kalena ran over. “Gretta….” She said softly. Gretta turned her head to look at Kalena. “Kalena…..Are you alright?” She asked. “Don’t worry about me! The question is are you okay?” Kalena asked. Gretta shook her head. “No…” she began. “I-I know who attacked the village…”She said. Kalena looked at her. “Gretta, who did this please tell Me.” She asked eyes filled with tears. Gretta went to say who, but she died right then. Kalena hit her knee. “Darn…” She said. She got up and walked around and saw Jonin, staring into the sky, blood on his hands. She ran over to him. “Are you hurt?” She asked sternly. He shook his head, still looking at the sky. “Then why on earth do you have blood on you’re hands?” She asked coldly. He didn’t answer. She punched his shoulder. “Answer me Jonin.” She said. Jonin looked at her. “I killed them. All of them....” He said with an evil smile. Kalena gasped and was ready to scream her head off. “Jonin….Why did you do that?!” She yelled. He shook his head. “I….I don’t know. I just….Did.” He said. Kalena shook her head in disappointment. “Wait….What about Yuka and Yia…Did you kill them too?” She asked. Jonin nodded. Kalena had tears in her eyes. “You are cruel.” She said and she ran as fast as she could to the hole they went threw to go to the feudal era with the sentence “How could you Jonin.” Running threw her head. She jumped threw it, entering the present. She ran to her house. “Lady Kalena! Wait!” one of the guards said trying to stop her. Kalena looked at him. “What?” she asked. “You’re father…He had been wanting to see you.” He said pointing to the shrine. Kalena jogged over to the Shrine to talk to her father. “The guard told me you wanted to see me?” she asked. Her father nodded. “Did Yuka and Yia come back with you?” he asked. Kalena shook her head crying. “Kalena, what is wrong?” he asked. Kalena looked at him. “Dad, our friend…Jonin…He….He killed them…” She said. Her father hugged her. “Kalena….I’m sorry.” He said. Kalena shook her head. “Don’t be. It’s not your fault….it’s mine.” She said, running to the house and into her room. She jumped onto her bed and cried into her pillow. One of the teenage guards came to check up on her, to make sure she was alright. The guard knocked on her door. “Lady Kalena, may I come in?” he asked. Kalena sat up. “Yes.” She said. He opened the door. It was the guard named Trey. He looked at Kalena. “Lady Kalena…You’re crying.” He said. Kalena asked him to sit. “Trey, you can call me Kalena you know.” She said. Trey nodded. “Kalena…May I ask why you’re crying?” he asked her. Kalena nodded. “You know I have been traveling to the feudal era with my friend’s right?” she asked. Trey nodded. “Well, today I was in the forest, figuring out why our arch nemesis was lying in the forest wounded. I went back to the village and everyone was killed. I walked over to our friend Jonin, he killed them…All of them…” she said crying, she hugged Trey. Trey looked at Kalena confused as why she was hugging him. He held her in his arms. “Kalena…I’m sorry.” He said. Kalena smiled “Everyone keeps saying that. It’s fine. I just got to tell Yuka and Yia’s parents what happened.” She said, breaking the hug. Trey looked at Kalena. “Want me to come with you?” He asked. Kalena nodded “That would be great.” She said. Her and Trey walked to Yuka and Yia’s house and knocked on the door. Their mother answered. “Oh! Hi Kalena.” She said smiling. “Hi, I need to tell you something about Yuka and Yia.” She said. The woman nodded. “Oh please come in.” She said before Kalena could tell her. Kalena and Trey walked in and sat on a couch, the woman sitting on the one across from them. “So what is it you wanted to tell me?” she asked. Kalena looked at Trey then the woman. “Kalena?” she asked and looked at Trey. “What is it?” The woman asked worriedly. “Well, we were in the feudal era….Helping a friend and these kids we met along the way. I left for only a few minutes…But when I went back to the village….” She began. “Yuka and Yia…They were….They were killed. By Jonin.” She finished. The woman’s mouth was open. “Oh my goodness….That’s…That’s terrible.” She said, about to cry. “I am really sorry.” Kalena said. The woman shook her head. “Kalena you know it’s not you’re fault. You didn’t know you’re friend would do such a thing.” She said. Kalena nodded. Shortly after that Kalena and Trey left. “Trey…I feel horrible.” She said. Trey looked at her. “Kalena….You shouldn’t. You had no idea that was going to happen.” He said. Kalena nodded. Trey smiled. “Kalena…I want to show you something tonight, can you meet me by the Kohaku Lake tonight?” he asked. Kalena nodded. “Sure.” She said. “See you then.” She said as she walked to her house. Trey smiled and went back to his post. Kalena’s father was in the house. Kalena waved and walked up to her room. She gazed out the window, looking at a tree. “Jonin….Why…Why did you do that.” She said to herself. She then felt as if she could hear Jonin speaking in her head. She heard him say “Kalena….I…I killed them.” She shook her head. “Darn him! I don’t want to think about him…Or what he did….Or what he does!” She said. She sat at her desk. She saw a blank sheet of paper. She grabbed it and grabbed a pencil. She started writing on it. She was writing a song for her friends. She wrote until the sun was setting. She looked out the window and saw the sun setting. She got up and grabbed her jacket and slipped it on. She put on her sneakers and walked out of the house and walked towards the Kohaku Lake. She saw Trey standing there. She smiled. “Hi.” She said tapping Trey’s shoulder. He smiled. “Hey! You’re just on time too!” he said. “What are you talking about?” she asked. He had her look at the sky that was now dark except for the light off of the moon and stars. “Can you see the rainbow?” he asked pointing in the sky. Kalena nodded. “Trey….It’s beautiful.” She said looking at him. He looked at her. He leaned in and gave Kalena a kiss. After he kissed her Kalena looked at Trey blushing. “Why…Why did you kiss me?” She asked. He smiled. “Because…I love you Kalena, ever sense I met you when we were kids.” He said. Kalena smiled blushing even more. “I….I love you too Trey.” She said. He hugged her making her feel safe in his arms. “Trey…My father…He’s never going to accept this.” She said. “I know…But we can’t let him stop us from loving each other.” He said. Kalena nodded. “Besides, I think my father will listen to me don’t you think?” she asked. Trey nodded. They looked at the rainbow developed in the sky. Meanwhile, her Father was walking to Kalena’s room. “Kalena?” he asked entering. She wasn’t there. He walked outside and asked one of the guards where she was. “Lady Kalena went over to the Kohaku Lake, sir!” he said. Her Father nodded and walked to the Lake. He saw Trey and Kalena, in each others arms looking at the rainbow. “Hello Kalena.” Her father said, sternly. Kalena turned around, out of Trey’s arms. “Uh…Dad, hi!” she said. Her father was angry. “Kalena, go to the house please.” He said. Kalena nodded and waved goodbye and walked to the house. Her father looked at Trey. Trey looked as if he were scared, and was trying to hide it. Her father just walked back to the house, ignoring him. Trey exhaled as I he was holding his breath. Trey walked to his house. “Kalena how could you sneak out like that!” Her father yelled at her. Kalena shook her head. “Actually, I didn’t sneak out…You were just too blind with you’re work to actually see I was leaving!” She said. Her father shook his head. “Kalena…Go to you’re room…Now.” He said. Kalena ran to her room. She slammed her door and grabbed the phone, going to dial Yuka and Yia’s number…But then she remembered. She put the phone on her desk and sat on her bed. All that she could think of was Trey’s kiss and Jonin. “Why is Jonin still in my head?” Kalena asked herself. She opened her window, now sneaking out. She walked over to the hole her and her friends used to go threw. She climbed threw the hole, traveling to the feudal era again. She saw Jonin by a tree. “You know I really hate you now right?” Kalena asked Jonin, furious. He looked at her and gave her the evil smile he did earlier. As if he was going to kill her next. Natina flew down. “Kalena….You killed you’re friends Yuka and Yia. If you didn’t leave and looked in one of the huts…You would have seen them…and you would have been able to help them. But instead, you let them die a slow and painful death. As well as those kids.” She said. Kalena shook her head. “No….No….That can’t be possible.” She said tears in her eyes. Natina nodded. “It’s true. And now Jonin here is going to kill you.” She said as she flew up into the sky and away from the area. Kalena saw Jonin coming at her with his sword. “Ah crap!” she said moving. She couldn’t believe her friend –or someone who was her friend- was trying to kill her. “Jonin…Don’t do this!” she said moving again so she didn’t get hit by the sword. She didn’t know what to do. She heard true love can stop something like this, but she didn’t love Jonin…she loved Trey. “Jonin come on you can’t do this!” she said. She grabbed her sword and started to fight back. “Jonin…I didn’t want to do this but you leave me no choice!” she said swinging at him, hitting his arm. Jonin looked at his arm and then Kalena. Kalena closed her eyes. He swung his sword causing blood to splatter onto the ground. Jonin ran off, leaving the scene. Kalena opened her eyes. She saw the blood. “But…I’m not hurt…” She said. She looked next to her and saw Trey lying on the ground wounded. “No! Trey why?” she asked eyes filled with tears. He gave her a small smile. “I had a feeling that something was going to happen to you…I figured you’d be here.” He said. Kalena shook her head. “Trey…we need to get you back to the present era.” She said. Trey nodded. She helped him up and made him go threw the hole first. After him, she jumped threw the hole. When she was in the present era, she helped Jonin to her house. One of the guards opened the door for her and she laid him on the couch. Her father was in his room so he didn’t know. Kalena grabbed the first aid kit from the kitchen and bandaged Trey’s wound. “Are you okay Kalena?” Trey asked smiling, despite his pain. Kalena nodded. “Trey, you shouldn’t be worried. You’re lucky you’re cuts aren’t deeper.” She said giving him a small smile. Trey smiled also and then grimaced in pain. “Trey what’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” she asked. He shook his head. “No. It’s my back, its killing me.” He said. Kalena was worried. “Trey let me see.” She said. Trey sat up and took off his shirt to show her. “How does it look?” he asked. Kalena looked at his back; there were scars on his back. As if he was hurt long ago. “Trey, were you ever wounded on you’re back?” she asked. Trey nodded. Kalena looked at the scars, they looked like deep cuts, as if someone was going to murder him, but didn’t. “Trey these scars look like they originally deep cuts.” She said. Trey nodded. “It’s a long story.” He said putting his shirt back on. Kalena sat on the couch. “I’ve got time.” She said. “Alright, well. It was when I was about 12 years old. My parents were going to a party you’re father was holding you were only 10 at the time; someone broke into our house, and saw me. It was a man. He looked at me, deeply breathing. I was lying on my stomach asleep; he took out a sword and started to dig the sword into my back, in several different places. I awoke quickly and he saw I was awake. He ran out of the house and left me there. But, someone else must have come into the house also. A woman walked over to me and told me to stop crying. She told me she was going to stop my back from hurting. I listened to her. She swayed her hand over my back, making it heal. She heard my parents come home, and ran.” He said. Kalena gasped. “I’m sorry Trey.” She said. She leaned her head on his shoulder falling asleep in a matter of seconds. Trey looked at Kalena; he then rested his head on hers and dozed off into a peaceful slumber. The next day they woke up to see Kalena’s father sitting in the chair by the couch. Their heads shot up. “Hi dad.” Kalena said. Trey said hi as well. Kalena’s father gave them a quick smile. “How did you get wounded Trey?” he asked. Trey gave him a wry smile. “I went to the feudal era…I- I had a feeling that Kalena was there. But when I got there, a demon swung his sword at me.” Trey said. Kalena’s father nodded, not sure if he was happy that Trey defended his daughter, or if that he would accept the fact that they were together. He wasn’t sure if he wanted his 15 year old daughter with a 17 year old guard. But when he looked at them smiling at each other, and caring for each other, he couldn’t help but to think they were a great couple. “I am going to go to my room and change. Be back in a second.” She said. The two men nodded and talked while she was gone. “Trey, do you like Kalena?” her father asked. Trey smiled. “Well yeah I mean who doesn’t?” he said. Kalena’s father laughed. “You know what I mean. I mean do you love her?” He asked. Trey nodded. “Well sir…” He began. “You don’t have to call me sir; you can call me Mr. Hedinak.” He said. “Okay then, Mr. Hedinak….I do love her. I have sense we met.” Trey said. Mr. Hedinak nodded. Kalena came down changed into black jeans and a black hooded sweater with her hair tied in a pony tail. She sat on the couch. “Dad….I need to go back to the feudal era. I don’t think Yuka and Yia are dead. I think Natina and Jonin have hidden them.” She said. Mr. Hedinak nodded. Trey piped in. “I’ll go too.” He said. Kalena looked at him and nodded. Kalena went upstairs and grabbed her backpack and filled it with supplies. “Trey…be sure Kalena stays safe. Ever sense her mother died, she has been the only family I have.” Trey nodded. Kalena came back downstairs with her backpack on her back and her bow and arrows on hand. They walked to Trey’s house so he could change and so he could get a sword from his father’s collection. Kalena waited outside. When Trey came back out they walked over to the hole. They went threw and in a matter of minutes they were in the feudal era. “Let’s go to the village. If we don’t see their bodies, we will know they aren’t dead…or at least not dead in the village.” She said. She led Trey to the village and they walked around. They saw bodies everywhere. Kalena walked over to Gretta’s body. She took some flowers out of her backpack and put them on her. She then walked into one of the huts, Trey behind her. She saw Sen and Sien’s bodies on the floor of the hut. She looked around more, eyes filling with tears. She then saw Dante’s body; she was covered in a blanket, covering her wounds. Kalena removed the blanket. She saw the wounds and turned around and looked at Trey. She pointed to Dante. “She’s Dante. She was the youngest…” she then pointed to Sen and Sien. “They were brother and sister. They were the most optimistic kids I have ever met.” Kalena said. She then showed Trey Gretta. “Gretta was Sen and Sien’s older sister. She was only 12.” Kalena said. She walked into another hut; she didn’t see Yuka and Yia’s bodies. She looked in every hut and they didn’t see the two sister’s bodies. “Trey…They might be alive!” She said hugging him. He smiled and held her in his arms. He kissed her head. “Where do you think they are?” he asked. Kalena wasn’t sure. “I don’t know. If the Benjola crystal is where Yia’s text books say it is, then we need to head to mount Hajamni.” Kalena said. Trey nodded. “Do you know where that is?” Trey asked. Kalena nodded. “Yep, let’s go.” She said. She and Trey walked closer and closer to mountains. The fog around the mountains was wearing away. “Looks like we are going to have to climb some mountains.” Kalena said. Trey nodded. He climbed up first and tied a rope to a tree and threw it down for Kalena. “Be careful!” he called down. Kalena nodded and climbed up. As she reached the top Trey helped her up. They walked farther and farther on the mountain, and soon enough, they were at mount Hajamni. “We’re here. Let’s go.” She said entering the cave in the mountain. Trey followed. They saw skeletons lying on the ground rotting away. They walked farther in and heard voices. They were child voices. They walked toward them, and saw Sien, Sen and Dante. “How are you three alive?” Kalena said running over to them. “Jonin had some magic thing that made him clone us and he killed the clones. He told us someone else was going to kill us three. And he took us here.” Sien said, being the oldest of the three. Kalena shook her head and hugged the three. “Don’t worry. No one will kill you three.” Kalena said. Dante looked at Trey then Kalena. “Who’s he?” She asked, referring to Trey. “Oh! Guys, this is Trey. Trey this is Dante, Sen, And Sien.” She said. Sen adored him. “So is he you’re boyfriend?” Sen asked excitedly. Kalena smiled and looked at Trey. “Yeah….He is.” She said. “We got to get you guys out of here.” Kalena said. “Trey, take them to the village we passed not to long ago, I will try to find where Yuka and Yia are being held.” Kalena said. Trey nodded. “You better be careful Kalena.” He said. Kalena nodded. Trey took the kids down the mountains and to the village, looking for someone to take care of them for the time being. Kalena was walking in the cave in the mountain, hearing more voices. She heard a teenager’s voice. “Do you think that she thinks we are dead?” a voice said. Another one coughed and replied “No… I don’t. She is smart; she’ll know where to find us.” A soft voice said. Kalena smiled. “It’s them.” She whispered. She looked around the corner, where the voices were heard. She ran over to them and hugged them. “Yuka, Yia….you two are alright!” Kalena said. Yia smiled. “I told you she would find us Yuka!” Yia said excitedly, and not as soft as usual. Kalena was so happy to see them. “You won’t believe what I got to tell you!” Kalena said. Before she said anymore, she looked around the corner hearing something. She grabbed her sword. “Hold on.” She said. She walked around the corner and fell on top of Trey. “Oh….Hi…” She said embarrassed. Trey smiled and stood up helping Kalena up. He saw Yuka and Yia watching them. Trey saw Yuka and Yia. “Darn they’ve changed sense last time I saw them!” Trey said. Yuka and Yia’s jaws dropped. “Holy smokes! Trey you look…different!” Yuka said. Kalena smiled. She was glad they seemed to be happy seeing each other again. “I’d hate to break up this reuniting party, but we need to stop Natina before she kills all of us.” Kalena said. They all headed toward where Natina was in the mountain. The cave was a hallway to a bigger area, the center of the mountain. There was a huge hole in the middle. It was fenced off, as if it were protecting something. “Well, if our little heroines and our hero here to vanquish me….Well that ruins all the fun.” Natina said sarcastically. “Natina…A lot has happened tonight can you just get you’re butt down here and fight already?” Kalena asked wanting to get on with it. “Gladly.” Natina said and jumped down from where she was. She waved her hand and her wand appeared in her hand. Trey was focusing on Natina. He recognized her. “Kalena….Don’t attack….” He warned. Kalena looked at him. “Trey you better give me a good reason not to.” Trey leaned over. “Kalena you don’t recognize her?” He asked. He then realized she probably wouldn’t sense she was only 4 at the time. “Kalena…That’s you’re mother.” He said. Kalena looked at Natina.

“Okay this is getting stranger every time I come here. Natina what the heck! Are you really my mother?” she asked. Natina nodded. “Yes. See I have been a demon sense I was 20 years old. I died in a fire and came back as a demon. I lived even to the present time, 500 years from now. I married you’re father and you are my daughter. I then died again in the present time, when you were 4 years old. I still live in the feudal era though sense it has not been 500 years yet here.” Natina explained. Kalena shook her head. She couldn’t believe she had been fighting and threatening her own mother. “Did Jonin know this?” Kalena asked. Natina nodded. “He didn’t tell you I see.” She said. Kalena took her sword out. “You know, I don’t care if you are or were my mother anymore. The thing is, you made it look like my dearest friends were dead. And a mother wouldn’t do that to her own daughter.” She said. She ran up to Natina and went to swing her sword, but Natina swung her staff sooner. “You are really pathetic. Can’t you tell I got the crystal in my staff? You’re too late to stop me.” She said. She waved her staff and chanted a few words and cast the spell to make it an everlasting moon. Kalena was on the floor unconscious. Trey looked at Kalena and then Natina. Yuka and Yia ran over to Kalena. “Natina….Why are you doing this? You don’t really want to hurt you’re daughter do you?” he asked. Natina laughed. “What would you know?” she asked. Trey eyed her. “I know that a mother would never do that to her child!” He said taking his sword out and swinging it at Natina. He barely hit her. “You brat! You ripped my cloak!” She said. She swung at Trey, he tried to duck but as he did he was hit by Jonin’s sword. He also fell down to the ground unconscious. Yuka and Yia stood up. Yia fought Jonin as Yuka fought Natina. They wounded them enough for them to run away. Kalena awoke. “Yuka, Yia…You guys go to the village the kids are at. Its not far from the mountains from where we came, you’ll see a rope so you can get down.” She said. They nodded and left. Kalena looked over at Trey. He was wounded badly. She walked over. “Trey…Come on Trey we need to get out of here.” She said shaking him. “Trey…No come on Trey wake up!” She said. Trey woke up. He looked at Kalena, he was barely conscious. “Kalena…You’re alive…Get out of here.” He said. Kalena shook her head crying. “Trey I am not leaving. Don’t you even think I would do that!” she said. He smiled. “Kalena…Please go for me.” He said. Kalena shook her head again. “No…If you’re not going with me….Then I will stay here with you.” She said laying her head on his chest. Trey laid his arm on her back. “Kalena…If you help me I will go too.” He said, realizing he couldn’t abandon Kalena like that. Despite his pain he had to go with her. Kalena helped him up and they walked out of the mountain slowly. They arrived at the roped mountain not long after they left. Kalena convinced Trey to go down first. He did and Kalena did after him. They walked to the village. The villagers took Trey to a bed and tended his wounds. They came back to tell Kalena he was fine. Kalena nodded and sat next to Trey. “You feeling okay?” she asked him. Trey nodded. “Yeah.” He said. “Trey…What made you change you’re mind on coming so fast?” she asked. Trey smiled. “I… I realized how much I meant to you. You used to be so quiet and shy. But now you tell me everything you could share. If I left you, you’d never trust anyone.” He said. Kalena smiled. “You’ve been reading too many romance novels…..But it was sweet for you to say that.” She said. Trey laughed. “You know, we need to stop her…The everlasting moon can cause Natina to be powerful for all eternity.” Trey said. Kalena nodded. “But we need to destroy the crystal that’s embedded in her staff.” Kalena said looking down at the ground. Trey lifted her head up. “We can do it…All we need to do is try.” He said smiling. Kalena smiled and nodded. Sien and Sen were talking to Dante, they were talking about the events that had happened. “Sien…Do you think Gretta is with our parents now?” Dante asked looking in the sky. Sien nodded. “I’m sure she is…”He said. Kalena walked out of the hut Trey was in, walking over to Yuka and Yia. “We need to get that staff from Natina.” She said. Yuka and Yia gave her a look. “Do you not remember her almost killing you?” Yuka asked. Kalena nodded. “I do remember…But we need to destroy the crystal in the staff to stop the eternal moon.” Kalena said. Yia nodded. “Well...Where do you think she is?” Yia asked. Kalena shrugged. “No idea.” She said, looking up in the sky. She was thinking about where Natina and Jonin could be. They knew they wouldn’t be in Mount Hajamni now. She was thinking of the possible places Natina was using for a lair or something, but there were so many places that came to mind. “Kalena…I think we should try several places. See when you use the spell to make it an everlasting moon, you need to be in clear view of the moon, otherwise it won’t work. I think we should try the tree Jonin was pinned to, and the destroyed village.” Yia told Kalena. Kalena nodded. “Alright, how about you and Yuka go check out the tree area, and me and Trey will go look at the destroyed village.” Kalena said. Yia and Yuka nodded and they headed off, weapons in hand. Trey walked out of the hut he was in. “Where are they going?” He asked. Kalena smiled. “Their going to check if Natina is in the forest where the tree that Jonin was pinned to and we are going to check the destroyed village.” Kalena said. “Ah…Well we better be off.” He said, grabbing his sword from the hut. Kalena got her bow and arrows. “Kalena, I brought you a sword too, incase you ran out of arrows or anything.” He said handing it to her. “Thanks Trey.” She said taking it. They waved goodbye to the kids and walked toward the village. “Kalena…When you were hurt in the mountain…How are you not injured?” he asked. Kalena smiled showing him the locket of her Mothers. “My mom’s locket, she gave it to me before she died.” She said opening it, revealing a picture of her and her mother. Trey smiled. They continued on and saw Natina not far from the destroyed village, talking to Jonin. “Jonin you keep guard, the Sun is about to set and I need to cast the spell soon.” Natina told him. Jonin nodded and turned around and looked dead toward Kalena and Trey, little did they know, Yuka and Yia were right in front of him. Jonin ran toward them and swung his sword at them. “Company master!” Jonin said, as if Natina made him into a zombie. Yuka and Yia got their weapons out. Yuka blocked Jonin’s sword with hers. She then swung at him, hitting his arm. He looked at his arm and then glared at Yuka. He swung his sword, as if he was going to swing at Yuka, but instead he ran past the twins, hitting Kalena. She was hit by her side; she fell down on to the ground in pain. He had wounded her side. Trey grabbed his sword, and blocked Jonin from hurting Kalena even more. Jonin looked at Trey. “Fine, if you won’t let me fight her, I’ll fight you.” He said swinging at Trey. Trey blocked his attacks fairly well, backing up as Jonin swung. “Jonin, why are you doing this? You were once their friend.” Trey said swinging at Jonin. “Because…Killing people…It felt…Good.” He said grinning. Trey shook his head, blocking another attack. He saw the sun was setting. He looked at Yuka and Yia; they were already trying to stop Natina from casting the spell. Natina heard Yuka and Yia behind her. She swung around and glared at them. “What should I do to you twerps? Make you perish the same death as those poor villagers, or handle you myself?” Natina asked herself. Yia chanted a few words and aimed her staff at Natina, causing magic to surround her, draining energy. Natina swayed her staff causing it to stop draining her power. “Is that the best you can do?” She asked laughing. Yuka shook her head and swung her sword at Natina. She barely hit her. Natina held her arm in pain. She swung her staff around and was casting the spell. Yuka shook her head again. “Why do you bad guys like doing stuff the hard way?” She asked as she jumped up in the air and swinging her sword at the staff, causing it to fall to the ground, pointing at Kalena. Yia immediately picked up the staff, but by the time she did, something had already cast on Kalena. Yia came over, and started to fight Jonin. “Trey you go make sure Kalena is okay!” Yia said. Yuka was making sure Natina wasn’t going to try anything during the battle. Trey walked over to Kalena kneeling down. “Kalena…” He said softly touching her hair. Kalena looked at Trey with a faint smile. “Did we do it? Did we stop Natina?” Kalena asked weakly. Trey nodded. “We shouldn’t worry about that, we need to get you to a doctor in the present time.” Trey said. Kalena nodded and looked at Yuka and Yia fighting. She touched her locket and then looked at Trey again. “Promise me one thing…” She said. Trey looked at her listening. “Promise me that even if we don’t find the sacred necklace of three spirits, that everything will be alright.” She said touching Trey’s face. He nodded, almost in tears. Yia was still swinging her staff at Jonin. He had weakened down a lot. She swung at him again knocking him to the ground. Natina fell to her knees…As if something had hurt her. Kalena had shot an arrow at Natina. She wasn’t seriously injured, but she was weak enough to not cause any trouble. Natina limped as far as she could threw the village, slowly dieing from Yuka injuring her and Kalena. She fell to the ground in pain. She died right there. Jonin jumped in the air and ran for his life. They all went to Kalena who was still badly injured. They helped her up and took her to the hole. They all went threw and ended up in the present time. Sense the hole was under Yuka and Yia’s house, their parents were near by. They helped Kalena up to the house and helped her onto the couch. Yuka and Yia explained to their parents what happened. They called Kalena’s father over and he was there within a few minutes. He saw Kalena on the couch. He kneeled down by her. “Kalena…Are you alright?” he asked. She nodded slowly. “Dad I am fine.” She said trying to get up. She sat up on the couch despite her pain to prove she was alright. “I’ll call a doctor.” Trey said going toward the phone but Kalena’s father stopped him giving him a glare as if Kalena’s wounds were his fault. “No. I will.” He snapped grabbing the phone and dialing. Trey sat next to Kalena. Kalena looked at him, “Trey I am sure he didn’t mean anything by what he said.” Kalena said referring to what her father told Trey. Trey smiled at Kalena. Before Trey could say anything, the doctor walked into the house. He looked at Kalena’s wounds and put bandages on them and gave her a prescription for a medication. “She should be alright in a few days Mr. Hedinak.” The doctor said reassuringly. Mr. Hedinak nodded. The doctor left and then they talked about what happened. “Kalena how did you get these wounds?” her father asked. “Dad, we were trying to find a Villain named Natina,” She began. Her father was confused. “That’s your Mother’s name.” He said. Kalena nodded. “I’ll explain that later. We were in this forest and Jonin; a demon came at us and hit me with his sword. That’s all that happened.” She said. Mr. Hedinak shook his head. “This would have never happened if I didn’t let you be with that guard!” He said. Kalena stood up. “No dad. I wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for him. Besides, his name isn’t ‘that guard’ its Trey dad.” Kalena said mad. Mr. Hedinak was now ticked off. He stormed out of the house. Kalena shook her head and sat back down. Yuka sat next to them. “Kalena, if you want you can stay over here for the night, like a slumber party we used to do all the time.” Yuka said smiling. Kalena nodded. A thought brought tears to her eyes. “Remember when my mom would make forts with us during our slumber parties when she was alive?” she asked them. Yuka and Yia nodded crying as well. Trey smiled. “Well I don’t know anything about her forts, but I do know about how great of a mother she was.” Trey said hugging Kalena. Kalena smiled. “We didn’t find the sacred necklace of three spirits, but I think we don’t need it anymore.” Kalena said looking threw the window. “I think we’ll be just fine.” She said smiling.
Two Years Later, Kalena was now 17 and Trey was 19. The twins were now 17 as well.
Kalena and Trey were sitting on a hill top. A lot had happened in those two years. Trey got accepted to the state collage, and Kalena’s Father moved away. The Twins now are going to be big sisters. Kalena rested her head on Trey’s shoulder. Trey had a question for Kalena, but he wasn’t sure when to ask her. “Kalena…” Trey said looking at her. She lifted her head up looking at him. “Kalena, ever sense we met, I knew I’d end up loving you someday. And I never knew how I’d feel. But now I do. And Kalena, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” He said taking a ring out of his pocket showing it to Kalena. “Trey…” Kalena said. “Kalena, will you marry me?” he asked. Kalena felt tears roll down her cheeks. She nodded as he slipped the ring on her finger. “Yes.” She said hugging him. Trey looked at her after they hugged and gave her a kiss. Kalena rested her head on Trey’s shoulder again and closed her eyes and smiled as the sun before them set. “Trey…You’ll always be my hero.” She said.
The twins were spying from above smiling. “Yuka!! Their going to get married!” Yia said happily. Yuka nodded excitedly.
And now everyone was happy with their lives, and with the changes they had made. [glow=red,2,300]THE END. [/glow]
